The fastest route in relation to the traffic situation is always chosen, as there are no bus stops between Rotterdam Airport and Rotterdam CS on this line.

RET Bus 41: Schiedam Central Station - Rotterdam Airport - station Rotterdam Noord
Monday to Friday every thirty minutes between 06.00 and 20.52 hours.
Saturday and Sunday separate timetable between station Rotterdam Noord and Rotterdam Airport operating via the business park Spaanse Polder.
Travellers from the regions Delft/Rijswijk and Vlaardingen/Maassluis and the Westland have a fast connection to Rotterdam Airport, with one change at Schiedam Central Station.
The Hague, Leidschendam, Voorburg and Nootdorp-Pijnacker are easily accessible thanks to the connection with the Randstad Rail (station Melanchthoonweg).

New, improved Nightnet RET bus B12
Travellers who are departing from Rotterdam Airport on the first flight of the morning, can now travel to the airport by public transport. Also the night bus B12 departs for the airport from the bus stop DD at Rotterdam CS. The bus journey takes just 15 minutes. Passengers arrive in plenty of time for the first flight at 07:00. By extending the timetable as part of the new, improved nightnet service, RET is responding to the sharp rise in demand from individual travellers and tour operators. In addition, many employees working within the airport grounds, including the flight crews, many of whom work shifts, can now travel to and from their work by public transport.

Travelling with the OV-chipkaart
As from 29- 01-2009 payment in the metro is only possible using the public transport smart card (OV-chipkaart). More information can be found in the folder, or on the RET page where everything concerning the OV-chipkaart is explained. If you are not in possession of an OV-chipkaart, a disposable one can be obtained from the automatic vending machines and card-loading points located at every metro station. You can also purchase an anonymous, pre-credited OV-chipkaart and/or a product that is valid for a longer period of time.

Bus fares can be paid by means of the national ‘strippenkaart' (a strip of tickets) or an ‘uurnetkaart' (an individual ticket valid for an hour) which are available at the AKO Shop in the transit hall at Rotterdam Airport costing 2.70 euros respectively. An individual ticket can also be purchased from the bus driver for 2.70 euros.
